SnapDock — Exporting & Sharing

Exporting & Sharing

SnapDock keeps exporting simple and predictable.
This section explains how to generate PDFs, how printing works, and what to expect when sharing Markdown files with other editors.

PDF Export

SnapDock can export your Markdown document as a PDF.

  • The PDF is generated using SnapDock’s Markdown‑It renderer
  • The output defaults to light theme
  • Layout is clean and readable

Important Note About Page Breaks

SnapDock does not currently insert natural page breaks.
This means:

  • long documents may not break exactly where you expect
  • headings and paragraphs may flow across pages

It’s recommended to review the PDF before printing, especially for formal documents.

Printing

SnapDock does not print directly.

Instead:

  • export your document as a PDF
  • open the PDF in your preferred viewer
  • print from there

This ensures consistent results across all platforms.

File Portability

SnapDock saves documents in plain Markdown (.md).

This means:

  • any Markdown editor can open your files
  • your documents remain future‑proof
  • no proprietary formats
  • no lock‑in

SnapDock does not include built‑in sharing features in this version.
Sharing is done by sending the .md file or exported PDF through your preferred method (email, cloud storage, etc.).
